『地球は狙われていた遙かなる昔から…遥か―太古とも呼べる昔から……』富士五湖研究都市、この地に隕石が降り注いだことが一つの契機であった。大気圏で燃え尽きなかった隕石、その正体は地球の科学では説明の出来ないブラックボックスの塊だったのだ。隕石の正体を解明するため国連によってB.B.P(ブラックボックスプロジェクト)が立ち上げられ10年の月日が経ったある日、その事件は起きた。隕石の真上に突如として円盤状の飛行物体が現れ、円盤に乗る異星人は地球の占有権を主張し、地球を賭けた決闘を行うというのであった。その場に居合わせた国際アカデミア学園に通う8人の学生は異星人と戦う力を持った巨大ロボット『ガクセイバー』の搭乗者に選ばれてしまい、否応もなく地球を守る戦いへと身を投じるのだった。【最初の一文は本編から引用残りは制作】
