故郷の村を捨てるようにあとにして、東京で平凡な学園生活を送る匡平(キョウヘイ)は同じ学部の日々乃(ヒビノ)に告白しようとした夜、惨殺死体を発見する。さらに「案山子(カカシ)」と呼ばれる超常の人形を操る、「隻(セキ)」の資格を持った妹・詩緒(ウタオ)が、彼を訪ねてきた。詩緒はかつて村で惨劇を起こし、同じく隻の資格を持つ阿幾(アキ)という青年が逃げ出したことを伝えるが、その時、二人は阿幾の奇襲を受けた。詩緒は一瞬の隙を突いて辛くも阿幾に勝利したが、阿幾は脱走してしまう。阿幾に部屋を破壊された匡平たちは、父親が同郷の誼で日々乃の実家へ世話になることに。しばらくは日々乃との平穏な同居生活が続くが、その平和は長くなかった。姿を消していた阿幾が、匡平の前に現れたのだ。しかし、そこに勾司郎という新たなる隻が登場、突然阿幾を攻撃する。今、神々の戦いが始まろうとしていた――【2巻あらすじより引用】
